This venture started out as a "Mom's night out" at a
local college taking lessons as a stress reliever
from my full time job. I still have a full time job
but this has now become a joint effort between my
husband and myself. He might decide on the colors
after I design and bisque fire them or vice versa.
Sometimes the dog & cat feel the need to help as
well (usually uninvited). :)
We
live in a beautiful wooded setting in Central PA
with frequent visits from deer, raccoons, turkey &
sometimes a bear (or two or three). If we can't find
a plant we're happy with for pressing into the clay
while walking in our woods, we go to the neighbors.
They're used to it by now. We've even been known to
raid our friends yards if need be for a particular
leaf we like. |
